Apprentice Technician - Hiring Now

Starting wage - $14/hr

Job Description: Our Express Lube/Tire Technicians work in a fast paced, high energy and positive work environment. Work schedule is a rotating 40+ hour shift, full time. 

Automotive ApprenticeTechnician Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Express Tech, oil and filter changes, tire rotations and basic maintenance -filters, tire repairs.
  • Perform all lubrication services in a safe manner.
  • Perform thorough check of customer's car (i.e. check additional fluid levels, battery, lights, tire pressure) referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Adviser.
  • Operates and maintains all lubrication equipment.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Automotive Apprentice Technician Job Requirements* (include but are not limited to):*

  • Oil changing and quick lube experience a plus but not required.
  • General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.

Sales Associate Hiring Now

Auto Detail Associate 

Starting Wage: $12 flat rate

Job Description:
  • Wash, detail and recondition new, pre-owned and customer vehicles.
  • Consistently perform duties in a professional, courteous and prompt manner.

  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operating condition of work area and associated tools and equipment.

Parker Toyota is looking for a mature Part-Time Receptionist to add to our team. The Receptionist position handles customer calls and directs them to the appropriate person/department. Some Administrative Assistant duties will be performed as well.

Assistant Service Manager

Basic Job Summary:

The ASM is the dealerships first-line customer-relations and service sale representative. The job encompasses the proper satisfaction of customer and vehicle related problems, meeting pre-determined service sales objectives and the thorough and accurate performance of designated administrative activities. 

 Specific Responsibilities: 

Customer Relations

  •  Maintain a high level of cleanliness, grooming and uniform appearance. 
  • Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty and genuine concern for the customers. 
  • Promptly meet and greet service customers in a friendly and courteous manner. 
  • Listen to customer's reason(s) for bringing their vehicle to the service department.
  • Offer a logical diagnostic service(s) or repair(s) to satisfy customer's problem(s). 
  • Provide accurate estimates for all services or repairs sold.
  • Handle minor customer complaints and/or misunderstandings with courtesy and tact.
  • Make policy adjustments within the guidelines and budgets determined by management. 
  • Sell the proper repairs and/or series responsive to customer's perceived needs.
  • Present a service menu of recommended maintenance services to evert service customer. 
  • Make a genuine effort to offer the maintenance services due on every service customer's vehicle
  • Obtain accurate parts and labor prices for all customer pay and internal operations using the appropriate price source and labor pricing guides. 
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives set by management.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller's inquiry.
  • Maintain communication with the technical staff regarding job status changes.
  • Remain continuously posted on the shop's work load to determine what kind of work the shop can quickly accommodate.
  • Confirm service appointments by telephone the day before the customer's scheduled arrival.
  • Contact service customers when their vehicle's work is finished.
  • Properly, thoroughly, and legibly write repaid orders for the categories of work designated by management.
  • Maintain a production scheduling form (route sheet) on an accurate and continuous basis.
  • Properly document repair order changed.
  • Carefully inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility.
  • Document flat rate time or the required time-keeping according to the service department and/or warranty procedures.
  • Maintain a record of carryover vehicles.
  • Maintain a record of special order parts status.
  • Perform other specific administration functions as directed by service management.

Service Technician

Position Information:

The General Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive repair orders from Service Group Leader and perform work as outlined with efficiency and accuracy
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional safety or service work is required
  • Document work performed
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed



Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.  ASE certification preferred.  General mechanical skills.  Valid driver's license and a good driving record.  Manual dexterity.  Good judgment.

 Working Conditions:

The Technician will stand six to eight hours per shift, lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds, and use hoist and test equipment as needed.  She/he will use hand and power tools.  She/he will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.  Road-testing of vehicles may also be required.  The Technician will be required to wear a dealership uniform.
